There are times when we all reach a brick wall and stop jumping out of bed every morning, excited to begin our day. If you are finding yourself in bed and unable to get out of bed, it is time for you to reflect on what is zapping your energy.
Retire from your business and allow yourself to reflect
1. Mission & Vision
Are you still living up to your original vision and mission for your company? Why did you choose to go down a different road? Did you chase money to make ends meet instead of following your heart? Take the time to review and revise your vision and mission statement.
2. Assess Your Circle of Influence.
Do you have people who genuinely care about your business and you? Are there people who sabotage your efforts or demeaning your dreams and goals? Take the time to assess your influencers. You can make the necessary adjustments to ensure your success.
3. Reduce your hours
This may seem impossible, but my Coach advised me a few years back to cut down on the amount of work I did. Establish office hours and follow them. My productivity tracker will show you where your time goes and how many hours are being spent on tasks. You can be angry that an employee takes so long to complete a task. If this happens, then you should revise the scheme. Setting a timer for tasks or limiting their completion time is a good idea. It will be easier to complete the job within the given timeframe or sooner. You will stay focused.
4. Give away any task that doesn’t bring you joy.
If you don’t have employees, consider outsourcing to FIVERR and Elance or finding a virtual assistant. Many tasks can be completed faster and more efficiently by another person. It is not necessary to be able to do all the things. Two heads are better than one. My team is invaluable in helping me when I’m sick, helping clients in crisis, or doing the things I don’t enjoy. Delegate and give up control so that you can concentrate on the revenue-generating tasks.
5. Self-care should be a top priority in your business.
This includes your mental and physical well-being. Your business will not be successful if you’re not in good physical and psychological health. You may need to start an exercise program. It is worth taking the time to put in 30-60 minutes each day to improve your health. Exercise will increase endorphin production and enhance mental clarity. You will feel happier for many hours. You will be more comfortable, more productive, and more positive.
